Static Airliners For
Austin Straubel International Airport
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Version 4.0 For Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 For Windows 95
By Michael Pickney

Thanks to a great new program called m98tobgl Version 2.0 by Trevor de Stigter, it is now possible to take the same great aircraft you fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator and turn them into .api macro files that can be used to create really great static aircraft for use with the Airport 2.05f scenery design program. Here are five static airliners positioned around the main terminal at Austin Straubel Field. These are all aircraft that fly into Green Bay and they are parked at places that you would actually expect to see them. You will notice that some of the aircraft have their navigation or strobe lights on and if you take a look at the American Eagle ATR72 you will see that the engines are running! Be aware that this add-on does tend to slow down frame rate a little. This is a test of sorts for me. This type of static aircraft display may be used in my all new version of Green Bay 98 which has already begun construction. The new version is going to be a lot more detailed (now that I actually know how to use VOD 2.7). It may take a little while, but it will be worth the wait!

Installation:

1. Unzip the file called Scenery.zip into your FS98/Scenery/Green Bay/Scenery folder.
2. Unzip the file called Texture.zip into your FS98/Scenery/Green Bay/Texture folder.

That's all there is to it. The next time you visit Green Bay you won't be the only aircraft there!

Special Note:

This airport add-on was adapted for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 for Windows 95 only. It will not work with previous versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator because of differences in geographic coordinates and elevations.
